An unforgettable experience
RIBA’s ‘Forgotten Spaces’ is a competition which identifies run-down buildings in urban areas and proposes innovative ways of breathing life back in. It is open to all, attracting many entries from professional architecture practices, designers, artists and even members of the general public.
Displaying entries in a visually appropriate and cost-effective manner, materials were chosen that directly yet subtly referenced the process of dereliction, construction and regeneration – which in turn yielded an exhibition of intentionally ‘temporary’ nature. Crisp, modern typography was teamed with the more disposable construction materials to give the exhibition a contemporary edge.
