Bearing a brand by Substance, the cleverly-crafted app – designed to facilitate the previously time-consuming or costly activity of obtaining tenant references – made rapid waves in the sector and was acquired by proptech company, Goodlord, in July 2020.

York Central

Under wraps from a branding perspective but having gained outline planning consent is York Central, an ambitious £650million transformation of brownfield land between York railway station and the National Railway Museum. In November 2019, the project was awarded ‘Best Masterplan’ at the prestigious AJ Architecture Awards; August 2020 saw £77million of funding agreed to facilitate vital infrastructure works.

As no stranger to success – his previous company, started from scratch, was sold for £18million – Robin Skidmore would only be kept quiet for as long as ‘technicalities’ of the sale required. Variety, the Children's Charity

Like all deep thinkers, we have a conscience – ours led us to create a new identity for the Legends of Industry awards on behalf of Variety, the Children’s Charity. Recognising the achievements of celebrities and businesspeople alike, often where philanthropy and charitable giving are pre-eminent, the star-studded ceremony did not take place in 2020 due to Covid-19 but a return is keenly anticipated in 2021.
