‘We can move’ is a social movement created by Active Gloucestershire to encourage people to become more physically active. Its goal – to change common perception that activity means sport and fitness – will be achieved by promoting the lasting impact of moving more, with others, as part of everyday routines.

Deeply engaged from an early stage, Substance has undertaken an extensive branding process utilising research and insights provided by Active Gloucestershire and Sport England. Choosing from a selection of carefully-composed creative directions, the client settled upon a logo-form that infers movement – the wider implementation adding vitality, energy and an important dose of realism through colour and photography.
